Research in Motion has been working hard over the past year or so to reposition its BlackBerry smartphones as consumer friendly. Continuing this, the company recently released its BlackBerry Media Sync application for Windows-based computers, allowing BlackBerry users to easily transfer multimedia content to their smartphones.

A key feature in the BlackBerry Media Sync is the ability to interface with Apple’s iTunes music organization software. The application currently only transfers music tracks that are not DRM-protected, but offers support for iTunes playlists and album art.

You can read more about the BlackBerry Media Sync here, or download it for yourself here.
