Alarms Pro launched

AlarmProIf you find yourself using the alarm often on your BlackBerry, the fine folks from BBSmart have cooked up Alarms Pro. It’s a solid step up from the default app, by virtue of a bunch of features like letting you use full MP3 files as alarms, programming multiple alarms for quick re-use, custom snooze lengths, and plenty of other stuff. We had the developer, Neil, on our podcast awhile back, and asked if they’d be spreading out from the ever-popular Email Viewer; it’s cool to see that he has, and we’re definitely looking forward to his next concoction. We’re sure this app is quality, so check out Alarms Pro here. Oh yeah, Neil also has a bitchin’ blog for any devs out there.

Alltel Curve available May 1st.

imageWhile Sprint’s release date for the BlackBerry 8330 is still in flux, Alltel has gone all official, announcing a May 1st. release date. It’s available for pre-order now on Alltel’s online store for $229.99 after a $100.00 mail-in rebate and a two-year plan.

Bell and Telus up north have already unleashed their devices, but it’s safe to say that most of the big names in the US will have the CDMA Curve ready to rock before WES.

O2 finally launches mobile broadband

imageO2 have finally caught up with other major UK operators and has got in on the action that is mobile broadband. O2’s broadband service launched today and is designed for fast, easy and reliable Internet connectivity on the go.

It’s simple to use. All you have to do is insert a small memory stick into the USB port of your laptop or PC and wha-hey you have plug-n-play via the O2 Mobile broadband network or over 7,500 Wi-Fi hotspots. It’s a tad cheaper than some of its competitors and O2 customers will be able choose from a range of services such as fast access to the internet, 3GB of storage on the O2 network and the choice of an 18-month contract or a rolling one month contract.

Naked Case for iPhone & iPod Touch

image

Nobody really wants to cover up the sleekness of the iPhone or iPod Touch with a gaudy case. But if you want to keep it protected, what are you to do? For a nearly invisible solution, check out the Naked Case ($35; iPhone/Touch). Billed as the world’s first touch-through case, it features Matrix-sounding electrostatic membrane technology that mimics the way the iPhone and iPod Touch screens work, allowing you to fully control them as normal.
